NATO principles are “to live in peace with all peoples and all governments” and “to promote stability” in the North Atlantic area. Its purpose is to unite “for collective defense and for the preservation of peace and security” and “to refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force.”

A member state violated those principles by attacking Iran. It violated NATO’s principles and the UN Charter. This horrendous act was perpetrated without collaboration with any NATO country. It is an international crime of aggression, unleashing the decades-long, pent-up vengeance of Israel and Iran to the detriment of the entire world.

U.S. intelligence confirmed Iran was not an “imminent threat,” so the attack was offensive, not defensive. NATO doesn’t start wars, it defends NATO members.

Bombing a nation does not preserve “peace and security.” It destroys it, unleashing the horrors of war and all the catastrophic geopolitical consequences that result.

The offender whines, Why aren’t NATO countries helping me?

NATO members identified the offender (unbelievably one of its own!). They realize this act was offensive in nature, and decide, We’re not defending this — there’s no defensive action to help defend. The offender whimpers, I don’t like NATO countries any more.

The offender then threatens: NATO better get over here and help me or I won’t like you!

This is lawless, incompetent, infantile madness by a convicted felon transforming into an international war criminal right before our eyes.
