“Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Seemingly, our Republican-controlled Congress has never learned this lesson. They have negated their power as an equal branch of the American government and seemingly have caved to the whims of a president who daily is further out of touch with reality.

Why did America go into to “war” which is not legally a war? According to Trump, America had destroyed the nuclear power of Iran in the first attack on this sovereign nation. No immediate attack on America then could be forthcoming.

It seems then that Netanyahu flattered Trump into joining with Israel on the attack against Iran. Now the “war” has spread, and Trump has no idea how to end the continuing conflict. Trump ignored the probable consequences of the attacks and the probable spread.

“The war is over when I say it is.” This is Trump’s reflection, since he cannot bear to lose. Now ground troops are beginning to be sent into the “war. “Congress should not have let this happen, and they continue to not stop his war powers.

Trump is rapidly losing reason and sanity. Eleven times, Democrats have offered a way to pay for TSA agents’ salaries. Eleven times with the vote of the Republican-controlled House or Trump’s pressure, these were voted down. Again, where is the Republican leadership to do what is right?

Do you really know what the Save America Act that Trump so avidly wants to pass? Showing a driver’s license to register to vote will not be enough. You will need to prove your citizenship. How? Needed: a photo ID and a birth certificate. For married women also needed a marriage license with both the birth and marriage names. Or you can show a passport which only about 40% of the U.S. citizens have. Mail-in voting will be sharply curtailed. Currently 48% of Americans use mail in ballots with little corruption ever proved.

Your vote in November will set the tone for where our government is headed. Currently, oil prices are further rising thanks to an undeclared “war.” ICE agents continue to harass both illegal aliens (who are needed for our work force!) and even American citizens.

Vengeance is being enacted by Trump against his either real or perceived “enemies.” Trump’s illegal tariffs only added to the costs of Americans’ everyday living. Vote!
