I am 71 years old and not very political, but I cannot stay quiet any longer. I was born and raised
in Defiance and spent most of my adult life here in Defiance. Donald Trump has been our
current president for a little over a year now. He was elected by a majority (or plurality) vote of
our fellow Americans.

To those that voted for him, I would like to say that you knew how he viewed women (just grab
them by their privates; they like that!) and yet you voted for him. He told you how he felt about
our heroes that serve and have served in the military. He called them losers and suckers, and
still you voted for him.

You knew that a jury awarded E. Jean Carroll more than $83 million for sexual abuse and you
still voted for him. You knew he was an adulterer, cheating on all of his three or five wives
(including his current wife) and still you voted for him.

He said he would pardon all those people who were in prison for attacking our nation’s capital
on Jan. 6, 2022, and still you voted for him. He said he would seek retribution and retaliation on
day one and still you voted for him.

Most shameful to me (and it still hurts) is that you knew he was a convicted felon 34 times and
still you voted for him. I thought our country held a much higher standard than that. Never did I
think we would elect a criminal to the highest office in the land.

Democrats, Republicans and independents need to stand up to this bully. We need to come
together as a nation and as a people and remove this crook from office so we can have a
government for all the people.
