As a Christian who believes our public life must reflect our deepest moral commitments, I am
deeply troubled by the reporting on Rep. Rodney Creech and the decision by Vivek
Ramaswamy’s campaign to continue promoting his endorsement. When allegations involve
harm toward a child, our first responsibility — as people of faith — is to stand with the
vulnerable, not to shield the powerful. Jesus consistently centered those at risk, and He
challenged leaders who failed to protect them.
Tiffen.net reported serious accusations and troubling behavior documented by investigators.
Even without criminal charges, the moral stakes remain high. Leaving Creech’s endorsement on
a campaign website sends a message that political convenience outweighs the safety and
dignity of a young person who came forward. Many Christians see this as a failure of
discernment and accountability.
This stands in sharp contrast to the example of Dr. Amy Acton, whom many Ohioans —
including the majority of Christians — view as someone who leads with compassion, integrity
and a commitment to protecting the vulnerable. Her public service has been marked by
transparency and a willingness to put people’s well‑being above politics.
Ohio deserves leaders who embody justice, humility and moral courage — not those who look
the other way when ethical lines are crossed.
