There seems to be some confusion for what socialism stands for.
When a government collects taxes it is used to pay for all the social services provided by the
federal, state and local governments. That is socialism. Why is that a problem?
The public gets the benefits of the departments of Defense, Health, and Education and Welfare;
the judicial system; the Treasury Department, the Food and Drug Administration; Social
Security; Medicare; Medicaid; SNAP; Border Patrol; the FBI; the CIA; the Department of the
Interior; the Department of Labor; the Department of Agriculture; the Veterans Administration;
Disaster Services; Customs Department; General Service Administration; Civil Service; national
parks; the Highway Patrol, the states, county and city police and fire departments; EMTs;
hospitals and staff saving lives; the county commissioners; highways; county roads and street
maintenance departments, where many work nights to keep the roads safe to travel.
The public has had these services for many years already. It is socialism paid by you the
taxpayers. Some people want these services, but not socialism.
If you have a fire don’t call the fire department, put the fire out yourself. If you get robbed,
don’t call the police department, chase the robber yourself because you don’t like socialism.
All these federal, state and county employees work hard to be of assistance to the public. They
have had to go through extensive training to get their jobs. They all deserve our respect and
appreciation. They are needed all over this beautiful country.
Socialism does not take away any of our freedoms. Businesses provide jobs. Capitalism is
needed as well. It takes working together for a great nation. That’s all folks!
