“We live in a post-constitutional era,” said Trump budget director Russ Vought. Vought and other religious Republicans, including Franklin Graham and Kevin Roberts share an anti-democracy agenda with wealth and power elites. Corporate oligarchs crave wealth, theocrats crave power.

Their agenda deliberately concentrates money and authority in the hands of a select few through privatizing (Medicare first), politicizing, or terminating critical departments and agencies of government. Autocracy must replace democracy under their plan for America.

Democracy is the will of man in majority, not the will of God, explained theologian Rouas Rushdoony in the Ken Burns recommended documentary, “Bad Faith.” Representative democracy is evil because it represents man’s will, not God’s. Democracy must end so America can return to the religion founders intended according to revisionists-on-a-mission.

Today’s Christian crusaders believe Trump is God’s chosen for terminating “evil” democratic institutions and trampling constitutional protections using whatever force necessary under Project 2025’s first 100-day blitzkrieg.

Our founders understood government married to religion created the evilest places on earth. Founders had seen religious practice within England’s government cause unspeakable human suffering and they were resolute in preventing similar atrocities here.

“The government of the United States is in no sense founded on the Christian religion,” states Article 11 emphatically in the final version of the Treaty of Tripoli, ratified unanimously by the U.S. Senate in 1797. For centuries Christian factions in England used government to brutally oppress other factions depending on which held power.

Religious persecution by government is why ancestors fled England and why founders designed our government secular. Secular does not mean “without God,” secular literally means “without religion.” The difference is profound.

Relationship with God is individual, it has nothing to do with government or religion. Russell Moore explains, “The separation of church and state is a key Baptist confessional principle that predates the United States of America. It caused people to have to come to God one by one through new birth. Someone cannot become Christian through citizenship in a state.”

Marriage between church and state bankrupts the moral conscience of both. The lack of moral conscience in religious Republicans who deliberately chose a lying convict president, married to Trump’s absence of moral boundaries has sentenced our nation to a bloody, hellish harvest which is biblical. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7. It’s harvest time.
